Typically when you think of using a personal trainer, it is for weight loss. If you have knee pain or back pain, it’s natural to think that if you can just lose weight your pain will decrease. We take a different approach to help you achieve this goal faster. Because we specialize in working with medical conditions, we will first help you eliminate your joint pain, therefore allowing you to exercise easier and lose weight faster. There is no reason to push through the pain and create more damage to your joints. Throughout the process we will work with you on your nutrition and hold you accountable to your program so that you will lose weight. We have seen some amazing weight loss transformations with our clients.

Successful, long-term weight control must focus on your overall health, not just on what you eat. Changing your lifestyle is not easy, but adopting healthy habits may help you manage your weight in the long run. Our weight-loss program is effective because it includes ways to keep the weight off for good. We promote healthy behaviors that help you lose weight and that you can stick with every day.

Our safe and effective weight-loss program include:

  • a plan to keep the weight off over the long run
  • guidance on how to develop healthier eating and physical activity habits
  • ongoing feedback, monitoring, and support
  • slow and steady weight-loss goals—usually ½ to 2 pounds per week (though weight loss may be faster at the start of a program)

One on One Personal Training

First we perform a fitness assessment which is comprised of medical history, musculoskeletal screening, body fat and BMI analysis, movement analysis and cardiorespiratory efficiency analysis.

Based on our findings we create a structured program for you which includes metabolic resistance training which will be done one on one with your trainer, an independent cardio program and a nutritional program. Each one on one personal training session includes proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching to optimize motor performance and rehabilitation. Your independent cardio program will also include mobility drills such as stretching, foam rolling, etc. The nutritional program will be diet coaching where you keep a food journal which is reviewed during each one on one training session.
