Your Mind Is Your Worst Enemy

Your mind is and will always be your worst enemy both in the gym and in life.  With it's over protective nature it will have you feeling and therefore believe you can't lift as much as you really can or do as many repetitions as you can.  That's because it doesn't want any harm to come to your body.  However you need to push past the limitations your mind places on your body in order to achieve real results.  I've said this before and I'll say it again, if you have workout partners utilize them and push yourself beyond your limitations.  Lift heavy, your workout partners won't allow you do drop a weight on yourself.  Go for that extra rep, your workout partners will spot you as needed.  Push your body a little harder/further and it will blow your mind.  Ever lifted something you had no idea you could lift?  That feeling you get from doing it is your mind coming to terms with what just happened, realizing that the limiters it placed on you are far greater that what is needed.
