Supplement to ensure you are getting enough protein. There are different kinds of protein but the two you should be concerned with are whey protein and casein protein. Whey protein digest in about 30 minutes so its perfect pre and post workout. Casein protein digest in 2 to 6 hours and is perfect before bed. In my opinion the best brands of protein are nutrilite, optimum and bsn. I explained protein in detail in an older article so here's a link to that.
Supplementation Tip 2
Take a multi-vitamin and mineral. I can't stress the important of this enough. However what ever you do don't take centrum or any of that other crap because you they are packed so hard that they don't breakdown. If you want to see how good a multi is put it in a glass of water and see how l0ng it takes to dissolve. If it takes a reduculiously long time then its crap. Supplementation Tip 1
Take Omega-3 fatty acids daily. Omega-3 fatty acid may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. In my opinion your heart is the most important muscle in your body so protect it. You can google Omega-3 for more information. I take Nutrilite Ocean Essenstials to ensure I am getting enough Omega-3s.
Personal Trainer
Man my job is so cool, I tell people what to do for a living. However its so much more than that, I change and touch peoples lives. Almost all of my clients have become my friends and earned a special place in my heart. I became a part of their lives and they became a part of mine.
When I first decided to become a personal trainer I was only interested in delivering results and making a lot of money. I calculated how many clients I needed to make 100k a year and started working on making that happen. Early on I learned you had to adjust to peoples personalities or else you will get nowhere with a lot of people. I also realized I played different rolls for different people. To some I am a friend they needed, to others I am a phycologist and to very few I am just a trainer. I'm sure I play other rolls but those are the three that I thought of off the top of my head.
Now I am an excellent personal trainer and I realized my worth and how good I really am from Bally Total Fitness in New Rochelle closing. When I made the choice to go to the Bally Total Fitness in Yonkers I didn't think some of my clients would follow. However to my surprise every last one of them decided to go there with the sole purpose of training with me. My clients try to show there appreciation in so many different ways and I want to show them all that they are appreciated as well. I will do everything in my power to help them achieve their goals in both fitness and life.
They have showed me that being a personal trainer is extremely rewarding. Now my goal as a personal trainer isn't just to make a lot of money, it's so much more than that, it's to touch and change peoples lives in a positive way.
To anyone thinking of becoming a personal trainer I say this, be a fitness professional. That is do not take advantage of your clients, treat and train them well and you will be rewarded. Be professional no matter the situation and make sure you get into this industry for the right reasons.

Physical Fitness
There are 10 components of physical fitness: strength, speed, power, anaerobic endurance, aerobic endurance, agility, balance, coordination, flexibility and body composition. So how fit do you want to be? If your interested in only one of these components it is relatively easy to reach the level of fitness you are after. Take bodybuilding for instance which focuses on only body composition. If you want to be a successful bodybuilder your only goal should be maximize your body composition. Sure you will get better in all other areas of physical fitness as result but you shouldn't worry about them.
Now if you want to excel in all components of physical fitness and achieve total fitness then you got your work cut out for you. You need to do anaerobic training to improve your strength, speed, power and anaerobic endurance. Anaerobic training programs include resistance training, sprinting and plyometrics but is not limited to only these. There are other anaerobic training methods like over-speed training and overload training. Aside from those components of physical fitness everything else is trained individually except body composition which is a result of a combination of anaerobic training and aerobic training plus a few other key components.
I will go over each component of physical fitness in greater detail at a later time. So be on the lookout for that.

So lately I've been busy working on a bunch of projects soon to be made public. Every personal trainer has a different outlook on personal training. As personal training is not an exact science. Granted we all stick to the fundamentals because they have been proven true and work.
