Face it, people and events are going to continue to both hurt and disappoint you. Among the people will be those you most love, as well as those you least know. Seldom is it their intent to purposely hurt you, but rather, a variety of situations mostly beyond your control will cause them to act, speak, or think in ways which can have an adverse effect upon you, your present feelings and emotions and the way your life upholds.

Do not doubt yourself, for where doubt resides, confidence cannot. Do not neglect yourself, for with neglect comes loss. Do not imagine yourself to be less than you are, nor more than you are, but seek always to become all of which you are capable. Do not allow yourself to become arrogant or discourteous, for both are characteristics adopted by those who seek to cover their weaknesses. Do not spend time regretting the past, but invest that time wisely by preparing a better future. It is your destiny to tap your talents to achieve all that of which you believe yourself to be worthy…to love more, anticipate more, overcome more, plan more, attract more, and enjoy more than you ever dreamed possible. Become the best version of yourself!

As a personal trainer I've gotten to know many people from different walks of life. What I've come to realize is that everyone is on their own unique journey, filled with obstacles they must overcome. No matter how a person's life appears on the outside we all face adversity, but that adversity forces us to grow. Character is formed not in the absence of difficulty but in our response to difficulty. I've seen many people give up on their journey, because giving up is easy. However the one's that push through always recieve more than they intended because they become more than they ever thought possible. When you reach a certain level people that weren't there when you were going through the struggle can't imagine you ever struggling but you never forget. When it comes to fitness I tell my clients any way you look at it the first two weeks are hell. You will be so sore you don't want to move, hell I remember when I first started working out. I worked out so hard that I couldn't sleep because my arms were so sore I had to keep them straight. I would wake up in the middle of the night with them bent and the pain was unbeliveable but I embraced it. Look how far I've come. If you make it past the first two weeks, you can definitely reach your fitness goals. Enjoy the pain while it's here though because soon it will take so much for you to get sore, you'll only feel a little pain here and there and you might start questioning the effectiveness of your workout.

In other news, I've expanded our personal training services so even if you don't live in New Rochelle, NY you can train with the best.
